Setup & integration guide.

Step-by-step instructions for installing SmartSDC, activating your checkout computers online or offline, and connecting your POS software.

1. Installing SmartSDC on Windows

Download SmartSDC-ESDC-Setup-v2.4.0-win-x64.exe from the Downloads page and run it on your checkout computer (Windows 10, Windows 11, or Windows Server). Once installed, SmartSDC starts automatically whenever the computer turns on and appears in your Windows system tray.

2. Activating Your License Online

Each license purchased in SmartSDC covers one checkout computer:

  1. Open the SmartSDC License window on your checkout computer and copy its Hardware ID.
  2. Sign in to your SmartSDC Customer Portal and open your license.
  3. Paste the Hardware ID to get your activation key immediately.

3. Offline USB Activation (For Stores Without Internet)

If your checkout register has no internet connection, simply write down the computer's Hardware ID (or save the request file onto a USB drive). Sign in to your Customer Portal from any phone or office computer, enter the Hardware ID, and download the license file to copy back to your register.

Once activated, your license works offline for your entire subscription period (365 days for annual plans).

4. Moving a License to a New Computer

If you replace a broken POS computer, open Customer Portal → Licenses, select the register license, and enter your replacement computer's Hardware ID. The old computer is deactivated and a fresh license key is issued immediately for your new computer.
